My guess (w/o the benefit of characters) is Lei Sim probably means "beautiful cicada".

: My Chinese name was given to me by my popo and I never asked her what it meant. Anyone know? I'm pretty sure it's Cantonese because that's the dialect she spoke. My sister's name is 'Lei Mun' (I'm assuming they mean similar things.
