My mother named me Tai Nan to honor her father Dai Nam Wan who was from New Territories estimated birth early 1900's. I was told my grandfather had left behind a family in China, apparently a merchant marine he 'jumped ship' migrating to Phila. PA. HE workd as a chef for the Kelly's as in Grace and Jack.
I AM VERY PROUD TO BE CHINESE. Does anyone have any info on this great man, my grandfather Dai Nam Wan. Please ask any senior members in your family, he passed approx. 1978.
