Sometime in the last (last two?) century(ies) I remember that Western Civilization would trade heroin for chinese goods. There were bands/tribes of chinese people who didn't like this and attacked the traders. The emperor(ess?) at this time didn't like it either so she didn't do anything about it and when it became a problem that westerners were being attacked (s)he just sorta turned away and pretended like nothing happend. I would do that too but are there some chinese last names that are anti-western, mabye decendants from the people who attacked western traders?
