I am researching my husbands family who went from Canton China to Havana Cuba and then to Miami Florida. Perhaps we can help each other in our search. This is what I know so far;
Loo Chang Win was born 1922 in Hong Kong. His parents were Loo Sun Lay and Chan Choi Yook. They had one other child, Loo Yin Har and took in a niece as their own. Any of this sound familiar to you? Or is there any advice you can give me about researching ancestors in China?

: You can look at the origins (more than one) of your surname through www.chineseroots.com. Select "English" and in the bottom left hand box type in "luo" and the first name on the display is your surname. In Mandarin (Putonghua) it is Luo(2).

: Hope this helps.

: : I'm wondering if anyone has any information about this surname. This name has gone through both the Cuban government's immigration service and the US immigration. If anyone has any ideas please email me, thanks
