I am Lynley Siason Agsam from Villamonte, Bacolod City, Negros Occidental. My grandfather looks like a Japanese and I saw him many times since I was a boy until 1st college. He was born sometime in 1892. I was also wondering if Agsam is chinese. My brother once told me that our family could have come from Formosa currently known as Taiwan and the original name was SAM. I didn't how it ended up as Agsam and I am not sure how true the story is.

Please let me know where you live and who are your parents. My father's name is Orlando Gamboa Agsam. He passed away 3 years ago.

Also please let me know if you know our family.

Thanks

Lynley Agsam

: hello, i'm filipino, and i wanted to know is Agsam is chinese-filipino? My great grandfather, many who mistaken him to be japanese, but he was born in 1901, hence i do believe that he is of chinese ancestory with out a shadow of a doubt. He looks chinese or japanese, but people never said filipino at first. I never meet him for he died before i was born, but i do believe that maybe is is mixed filipino, chinese. He came from neglos occidantal (philippines). So maybe agsam is chinese? Thanks, [email protected].
