I'm guessing that my last name might've been originally romanized as "Liu" as it has the same English pronounciation, and some misconsumptions might've been involved during the romanization due to the pronounciation of the surname alone. There's also the theory that it was a totally different surname from "Liu," as well as over time the spelling of the surname might've changed; although I doubt this last theory due to the fact that if I am correctly remembering, my grandfather's parents were the first generation to immigrate to Vietnam and have their last names romanized. So I'm hoping if anyone is willing to help and if you are I really appreciate it thanks!
