Wow! This is great.. My great grandfather was from Canton and immigrated to San Francisco through Angel Island in 1906, just in time for the earthquake. He worked in resteraunts and played the fiddle. He married a portugese lady and had my grandfather whose name was Louis Louie, a brother, and two sisters who carried on the tradition. Anyways to make a long story short my dad was born and we have all lived in the bay area since 1906. I am the only white girl I know with the last name Louie, but I am very proud. I would love to know about my great grand fathers culture and would some day love to visit Canton! If I find out anymore info from my dad I will post it!
