Hi! Lucas Yon was my great grandfather. He was my mother's grandfather. Her name is Olga Isabel Rivera Yon. Her mother was Alejandrina Yon. She was Lucas Yon's daughter. There were other brothers and sisters. I met tia Yoma Wing in NYC when I was a kid. She was the sister of Alejandrina. Yoma moved to NYC and married a Chinese man with the last name of Wing. She had two sons, maybe 3, I'm not sure. I remember George Wing, her son who was a teacher in NY. Oh yes , now I recall that he has a sister named Nilda. Nilda married a Japanese man and had a son, Henry. This is what I remember as a child or what I hear when the family gets together here in PR. There are 5 daughters and 2 sons from Alejandrina Yon and Angel Rivera. I recall being told that Lucas Yon was a rich man and in the tobacco business in Cayey, PR. Apparently he had children out of marriage (from lovers) and there are grandchildren still living from this relationship or relatioships (?), about the age of my mother and aunts. I remember Lorenzo Gomez in Cayey when I was a kid. His wife used to be a seamstress if I'm not mistaken. But I dont think this is the same Lorenzo maybe ? Anyway, when the Rivera Yons get together they always take up the subject of the Yon side of the family and wonder where everyone is. They would love to have a great big family reunion some day. Personally, I will be happy to get a family tree going so I can have something to give my children. As for where the Yon family is in PR I hear they are mainly in Cayey, mixed with Gomez and Rivera; for the most part.
