My great grandfather came to the united statest in the late 1800 's and was a laundryman in Handford, Ca. when he came to the united states with a son who lived in LA they went by the name Eng Lit Chin, and Ben Chin great grandfather was Eng Lit Chin. My father to came to the united states in 1942 from Canton China, used the name Mon Quong Chin, the only history of my family was the story that my father game to me about hist dad who was a judge in Canton China. and was executed by the republic when the communist were take over China because he believed that the communist rule was a form of government that the chinese people could acept and bring them into the twentieth century. I did find out that my fathers monther died of brain hemmorage a year after my father left China and that grandfather remarried and had another son by his second wife. She disappeared when grandfather was shot and is now living somewhere in Hong Kong and that her son is a doctor who wants to come to the United States. Some of the family is living in Vancover, BC and have spelled their last name Quon, look forward to any discustion over family tree information, and addiltional info on family ties, also I do know that the second wife went back to the villiage where my grandfather lived and built a house for the family so they could come back and stay anytime they wanted, also a few years ago my uncle from BC went back to China and the villiage they were bone and lived in and visited family and at the gathering there were about 500 relatives that showup for a baracue as they said, I do not speak Chinese and my uncle only speaks chinese so its difficult to communicate but I have become disable and want to learn about my fathers side of the family so I will try to talk to my cousins in BC to get much more family history.
