Hi aussie, are those people with Lu and Luc as well as Lok the same in terms of family origin? I am getting lost with my own Chinese blood... A friend of my grandpa told me that his name is Lok Tin(written in Chinese). But when I consulted a Chinese Dictionary, the "Tin" is not found, so the character is actually "Ting". I hope someone could lead me to trace my long lost family members. My grandpa died in Pitas, a village in Kudat district, Sabah in 1970s when I was in primary 4. There was no Chinese script written on his gravestone... I am totally confused... a. his name is written in two characters and his cousin known as Lok Sui is the same - two characters. b. an uncle (Lee Ah Tin- a Cantonese) believes that my grandpa is Kung Fu, but another uncle who is not Chinese, said my grandpa is Teo Chew?? c. my father said my grandpa has a brother in Singapore but his name is not known to him. d. all his personal documents were lost - my auntie said my grandpa did not want us to return to China??? I went to Guandong in 1990 before leaving to United States to pursue my 1st degree. I have masters in management. Please help me...

Jake
