I would like to research the family name of "FAM" and where it came from in China. The name of my grandmother: Fam Tjung Djin (Tjin ?).She was born on the island of Bangka ,Indonesia ( Netherlands Indies at that time), Muntok area, probably in the 1890's. There are no records of a birth certificate that I know off.She was married twice,had 10 children altogether,5 boys with first and 5 girls with second husband. As the story goes, she left the family home at a very young age.
Is someone else researching this same family "FAM" surname?
I do remember some relatives names but dont know their relation, Fam Ah Kim and Fam Ah Jong.(spelling??)
