Yes, there is very little to go on... my great grandfather himself kept records but as far as I am aware they were destroyed. Fong has also been used in our family, but I think there is always going to be descrepancies with pronunciation, and spelling. Especially since the country was under the administration of both Germany and New Zealand. I'm not in Samoa, but will try and track down some documentation there. There are records that NZ have kept that I am trying to track down also.. it's a never ending story!
