This would strictly be a speculative guess. If you have the written Chinese characters for Fu Tow Seng, the answer would be much more precise from someone fluent in Chinese. My guess is Fu is the family name; Tow is likely his generational name; and Seng is his given name. As to the meaning of words Tow and Seng, you need to ask someone fluent in the Fukien or Teochiu dialect for an educated guess on their likely meanings.
