Hi my name is Mark Wonglyn but real surname should be Ma Wong. My father changed his surname when he came to NZ from Samoa. My Grandfather's name was Ma Wong who was a plantation worker in samoa in the early 1900's.Not much is known about Ma Wong and he died in samoa in 1962. I would like to know where in China he came from and whether there are any records on ships logs that may confirm where he came from. If anyone could help me or even is able to give me even the slightest bit of information I would be most grateful.
