                                     Helmer (Ham) Hansen
( 1902 - 1976 )

Halbert, Karl (Ted), Otto (Slim), Martin, Helmer (Ham ) & John

Ham did get married to Leona Levtzow daughter of "Buckshot" Levtzow of Faulkton in about
1940.  His father Christ gave him $3200.00 for his share of the farm.  Presumably because he
wanted the money for his marriage.  He lived on the west coast(Washington State)  for a spell.  (Though I
was told by Lester that Ham also inherited the farm and it was the boys who bought him out.)He had two
children,  Daughter, Agnes Maire and  son Howard who married a Ellen (last name unknown) .  After Ham divorced he returned to the family homestead and lived with his brothers farming as a salaried farmhand until
his death in 1976.
Ham did work for Lester Hansen also, as he had a farm close to theirs.

Ham did have a problem with alcoholism.  He was known to become a "mean" drunk.  that may have been the cause of his failed marriages.  Though, when sober he had the one of the best dispositons of the family.  His
bachelor brothers were also drinkers, but not mean ones.

He is buried beside his brothers and parents in the Faulkton Cemetery.  He was also married a second time to
a "Fern" last name unknown.

Agnes Marie never got married.  She worked at Sears for many years in the Seattle, Washington area.  Her Aunt Ida Eschenbaum would hear from her once in a while.  She had lost contact with her brother and did not know where he was
