The Glover Family

On a personal note

The Glover family is my mothers side of tree, and has provided me with many aunts, uncles and cousins. I envisage this being a large section and could certainly become complicated.

Some of my mums brothers and sisters are still living at the time of writing this. They all have their own children, my cousins, who also have their own families. Because of this, I provide here only details that are necessary in the pursuit of my family tree and the listing of relatives.

No offense is ever intended, and hopefully none given to any of my relatives, though support and the provision of any information would be greatly appreciated.

The information here is gathered from personal memories and documentation that I can find. I must mention here, thanks to Maggie Kafton for pointing me in the right direction and the documents that you supplied, and also Angela Wiseman for her recollections.

Often the births, marriages and deaths are given as Prescot. This is not to say in the village of Prescot, but there were infact several parishes within Prescot, which was a hundred of West Derby in the county palatine of Lancaster. Prescot was a registration district in Lancashire that covered the areas from St. Helens to Ormskirk including Rainford.

Perhaps one day, you may send me your old family snaps, especially those of people that are no longer with us so that I can publish them here with your permission. Now wouldn't that be good.
