St John the Divine church, Coppull

By 1926 Thomas and Mary Jane were in Standish for the birth of Thomas. Amelia was at that time living in Coppull with her Grandparents... Thomas and Amelia. That was the year of the General Strike and due to the hard times, it was probably soon afterwards that the family minus Amelia moved to Doncaster, to return to Standish by 1930.

Note: Robert Whitmore was already in Stainforth by 1927 and may have been an influencing factor on this move.

In 1929 Mary Jane gave birth to Hilda in Doncaster, Yorkshire.

However by 1930 the Glover family returned to Standish where Edna was born.
