PREFACE:
This page is dedicated to the writing of a historical novel for my branch of the Tankersley family. It will outline the personalities and events which shaped the family from several generations back (about late 17th century) to the present. Every attempt shall be made to be as accurate as possible, however, due to time restraints, some facts, especially some events, may require invention. The people exist in history but their thoughts and some actions were never recorded and can only be guessed.
