Memorial Notes, Daniel Isaac Chute

Daniel Isaac Chute, age 15 of Greenville passed away July 1, 2010 at St. Anthony's Hospital in Denver, Colorado following a car accident in eastern Colorado. His grandparents Vernon and Norma Chute as well as his good friend Davey Wilds also passed away as a result of the accident.

Daniel was the son of Rodney and Anita Chute, and was born on January 9, 1995 in St. Louis, Missouri. The family lived in Jerseyville for a short time before moving to their home west of Greenville in 1995. Daniel attended the Greenville Elementary School and Greenville Junior High and was presently a sophomore with the Class of 2013 at Greenville High School. Daniel excelled at sports including baseball, track, and football as well as skate boarding, hiking and biking. Daniel will be greatly missed by his family, as well as his many friends and teammates.

Daniel is survived by his loving parents, Rodney and Anita Chute; his sisters Rachel Chute of Greenville, and Renee Chute of Warrenton, Missouri and his niece Anna Chute. He is also survived by maternal grandparents Richard and Irma Mertens of Warrenton, Missouri; aunts and uncles: John (Courtney) Mertens of Warrenton; Mike (Chris) Mertens of Warrenton; Suzie (David) Polston of Warrenton; Charlene (Eddie) Twiehaus, of Foristel, Missouri; Janice (Steve) Holt of Warenton; Laura Mertens of Warrenton; Karen (Thomas) Arnold of Tucson, Arizona; and Steve Chute of Highland. He also is survived by 21 cousins.

Daniel is a member of the Greenville Free Methodist Church and has been very involved in the Free Methodist Youth activities.

Joint funeral services for Daniel, Vernon, and Norma Chute will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 10, 2010 at the Greenville Free Methodist Church. Daniel's friends may call at the northwest portion of the Greenville Free Methodist Church in the Youth Wing from 5 until 9 p.m. Friday July 9, 2010, and from 10 -11 a.m. Saturday. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting gifts in his memory be made to Greenville Comets' Athletics; donations may be made at Donnell-Wiegand Funeral Home or at the Free Methodist Church. Interment for Daniel will follow in Waite Cemetery near Rod and Anita's home.

Obituary, Marion Cordell Chute

MEREDOSIA - Marion C. Chute, 72, of Meredosia died Monday, May 9, 2005, at his home.

He was born Dec. 28, 1932, in Cooperstown, the son of Donald E. and Cecil Herren Chute. He married Shirley J. Edwards in 1953 in Jacksonville.

Mr. Chute graduated from Chambersburg High School in 1950 and was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He retired from CIPS in Meredosia in 1993 after 35 years and farmed in the Meredosia area. He was a member of Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon, Local 148 and Morgan County Farm Bureau. He also was a Morgan County 4-H leader for many years and coached Little League.

Survivors: wife, Shirley; three sons, Roger D. (wife, Linda) Chute of Brownsville, Tenn., Robyn L. (wife, Amelia) Chute of Canyon, Texas, and Randy K. (wife, Susan) Chute of Woodburn, Ky.; seven grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; four brothers, LaVern (wife, Wanda) Chute of Versailles, Calvin (wife, Rosalyn) Chute of Riverside, Calif., Harold (wife, Dorothy) Chute of Jacksonville, Fla., and Harlan (wife, Francie) Chute of Vidor, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

Services: 11 a.m. Thursday, Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church, Jacksonville. Burial: Oakland Cemetery, Meredosia.

Obituary, Steven Eugene Chute

Steven E. Chute, 50, of Meredosia, died Monday, February 12, 2007, at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis Missouri.

He was born June 10, 1956, in Jacksonville, the son of Gale and Bonnie Ransom Chute. He married Jenny Wood and she survives.

He is also survived by two sons and two daughters, Steven G. Chute, Robert E. Chute, Cheyanne N. Chute and Alyssa L. Chute, all at home; one brother, Edward (wife, Lisa) Chute of Riverside, Calif.; his step-mother, Janice Chute of Jacksonville; and five step-sisters, Susie (husband, Bill) Bauser, Tena Beddingfield, Julie Downs, Jodie (husband, Chris) Willoughby and Cindy Ransom. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Robert G. Chute.

Mr. Chute attended Meredosia and Jacksonville school before graduating form Riverside (Calif.) High School in 1974. He attended Meredosia First Baptist Church, and was a longtime employee of Pactiv Corporation in Jacksonville. He loved attending his children's sporting events.

Dougherty-- Tommy Chute, six months old son of Mr and Mrs. Edward Chute, died in Iowa city at the University Hospital Thursday night.

Burial services were held in St. Patrick's Cemetery Saturday morning.

Dougherty � Funeral services for Edward Chute, 35, will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday at St. Patrick�s Catholic Church, the Rev. Paul McGuire officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick�s Cemetery, with the Hogan Funeral Home in charge.

Mr. Chute died suddenly of a heart attack Sunday at his home in Dougherty.

He was born in Mason City, June 28, 1910, and lived most of his life in Cerro Gordo county. On January 8, 1940, he was married to Agnes Bamrick of Dougherty.

Surviving are his widow, 2 daughters, Rose Mary Chute 5, and Catherine Ann Chute, 5 months. A son, Thomas Chute, 6 months old, preceded him in death, also his father in 1936.

Also surviving are his mother, Mrs. Nora Chute of Mason City, 5 brothers and 4 sisters, Gerald and Jerome of Mason City, Kenneth of Saginaw, Michigan, Donald Chute of Chicago, Harold Chute of Long Beach, California, Marie Chute, Mrs. Darold Juhlin, Mrs. Cedric Connelly all of Mason City, and Sister Joanna Marie of Whittemore.

DOUGHERTY � Agnes Chute, 88, of Dougherty, died Friday (March 31, 2000) at the Rockwell Nursing Home, Rockwell.

A funeral mass will be held ay 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Patrick�s Catholic Church, Dougherty, with the Rev. Leo Riley officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick�s Catholic Cemetery, Dougherty. Visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m. today at St. Patrick�s Catholic School, Dougherty, with a scriptural prayer service beginning at 5 p.m.

Marie Agnes Chute was born January 29, 1912, in Dougherty, daughter of Martin J. and Rose (Murphy) Bamrick.

She married Edward Francis Chute on January 8, 1940. She served as City of Dougherty Town Clerk for 32 years. She worked for the Rockwell Telephone Company in Dougherty, and then for 35 years before retiring, she worked for formerly Tyden Feed and Livestock Company now Kerber Hy Test-Seed. She enjoyed baking, cooking, playing cards and spending time with her family and friends. She was an active member of St. Patrick�s Catholic Church, the Catholic Ladies Auxiliary, the Dougherty Domestic Club, the American Legion Auxiliary and was an active member of the Dougherty Senior Citizens.

She is survived by two daughters, Rosemary Chute of Overland Park, Kan,, and Kathryn Galassi, West Des Moines; two grandchildren, Karen Lewis, Lenexa, Kan., and Victor Joseph Galassi III of Chandler, Ariz; two great-grandchildren, Nicolette and Ryan Lewis, both of Lenexa, Kan., and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1946 a son, Thomas in infancy, five sisters, Ella Barr, Lucille Doering, Katherine Bamrick and Mary Agnes Bamrick; and two brothers James Bamrick ad Michael Bamrick.

HOLDEN - Merle C. Ashey, 80, wife of the late Roy F. Ashey, died Nov. 19, 2003, at a Bangor hospital. She was born July 1, 1923, in Brewer, the daughter of Henry E. and Viola K. (Kingsbury) Chute. Merle was a 1942 graduate of Brewer High School and was a resident of Brewer until moving to Punta Gorda, Fla. in 1964. She earned a degree in respiratory therapy in 1966 and worked for the Charlotte County Medical Center for seven years and later worked for Fawcett Medical Hospital until retiring to Maine. She worked for the Eastern Agency on Aging and for Community Health of Ellsworth. Merle was past president of VFW Auxiliary, Brewer, and was a current member of VFW Auxiliary, Ellsworth. She enjoyed her involvement with the Brewer Senior Citizens, loved the seashore and fishing. Surviving are four children, Ruth Beam and her husband, Charles, of Cutler, Nancy Tortoriello of Port Charlotte, Fla. and Margaret Robinson and her husband, Charlie, also of Port Charlotte, Fla. and David Robertson and his wife, Nancy, of Holden; one stepson, Jeffrey Ashey of Brewer; 11 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; one sister, Thelma D'Amboise of Florida. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by two sisters, Barbara Andrews of Portland and Laura Danforth of Brewer. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 23, 2003, at Kiley Funeral Home, 69 State St., Brewer, where family and friends may call from 12 noon until the time of the service. The Rev. George E. Curtis, III, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, Brewer, will officiate. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery, Brewer.

Obituary, Bessie May Libby Chute

Bessie M. Chute, 99, of Howland Avenue died Tuesday at the home of her granddaughter, Ellen Morehouse, where she had resided since 1993.

Mrs. Chute was formerly of Old Orchard Beach, Newfield and Parsonsfield, Maine.

She was born in Old Orchard Beach, a daughter of Walter and Cora Ellen Fletcher Libby, and attended Old Orchard Beach schools. Her husband, Sidney W. Chute, died in 1967; a son, Raymond L. Chute, died in 1982; and a daughter, Marion I. Walker, died in 1992. Surviving are two nieces, Virginia Thing and Dorothy Whither, both of Berwick; a nephew, Filmore Webb of Batesville, Miss.; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in Maplewood Cemetery, South Parsonsfield, Maine.

WALDOBORO - Jennie C. Chute, 97, died at a Waldoboro nursing home on Saturday. She was born in Dutch Neck, daughter of Thomas E. and Laura B. (Pitcher) Creamer. She was the widow of Fred Chute, who died in 1958. She had lived in Dutch Neck all her life and was a homemaker. Mrs. Chute attended Waldoboro schools. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Waldoboro for 75 years. She was a member of the St. Paul's chapel Society in Dutch Neck. She was also a member of the Good Luck Rebekah Lodge and the Wiwurna Chapter OES, and the Waldoboro Women's Club. She was active in community affairs, and selflessly helped others throughout her life. She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Verna C. Scofield of Jefferson. A Funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Hall Funeral Home, 77 Main St., Waldoboro, with the Rev. David W. Bell officiating. Burial will be at the Dutch Neck Cemetery in the spring.

BREWER and ORONO � Pamela Dianne Chute, a resident of Brewer, passed away February 17, 2015, in Stuart, Florida. Pamela was born February 18, 1951 in Bangor, the daughter of Harold L. Chute and Marion B. Chute.

Pamela grew up in Orono, where she played the piano and the clarinet, and was a Girl Scout, Past Worthy Advisor of Orono Assembly #38 Order of Rainbow for Girls, receiving the Grand Cross of Color. She participated in the All State Music Festival in both band and chorus. After graduating from Orono High School in 1969, she attended and graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Maine at Orono in 1973. While there she was inducted in Delta Delta Delta Sorority, Phi Kappa Phi and Pi Sigma Alpha Honor Societies. Pamela continued her education at Franklin Pierce Law Center in Concord, New Hampshire, graduating with a Juris Doctorate in 1976. She was a member and Treasurer of the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, and legal assistant to the City of Concord. Pamela was admitted to the U.S. District and Maine District Courts in 1977. She began her law practice as an attorney with the law firm of Twitchell, Gray & Linscott, with a varied practice in real estate law. In 1983 she moved to Mitchell & Stearns, becoming a partner until leaving in 1994 for Cuddy & Lanham. At Cuddy & Lanham she specialized in commercial and residential real estate, probate, corporate and business law, until she retired in June 2013.

Pamela was involved in many committees, including the Maine State Bar Association, the Penobscot County Bar Association, of which she was a member of the Board of Directors, President and founding organizer of the Visitor�s Committee. From 1990 to 2009, Pamela was appointed by the Governor to be the Alternate Neutral Chair of the Maine Labor Relations Board. She was also the Public Administrator for Penobscot County from 1995 to 2000. Pamela was a member of the Maine Land Title Association, Maine Trial Lawyers Association and Treasurer of the Law Library.

Pamela enjoyed her community associations, including Eastern Maine Technical College Advisory Council, Penobscot County Private Industry Council Chair, the University of Maine Foundation, The Greater Bangor Area Chamber of Commerce, Literacy Volunteers of America, Junior League of Bangor, the American Folk Festival, the Red Cross and, a favorite, the Page Farm and Home Museum, of which she became a member in 2006 and Chairman of the Board of Directors from 2008 until 2014. Special support of the Bangor Symphony and the Bangor Humane Society were reminders of her love of music and animals.

Pamela is survived by her mother, Marion B. Chute, of Orono, a sister, Hazel Lee C. Richard and husband, Alan J. Richard of Arundel, nieces Courtney Lee Richard and Alanna J. Richard of Dayton, sister-in-law, Carla J. Chute of Eagan, Minnesota, and her beloved Papillon, Thunder. She was predeceased by her brother, Cameron Carl Chute in 2007, and her father, Dr. Harold L. Chute in 2008. Pamela was a very special person to all who knew her. She was a world traveler. She was a wonderful friend to many, and a patient teacher to those who worked with her. She will be missed.

Eminent Urologist Was Longtime Falmouth Summer Resident And Husband of Eliza Swift

Dr. Arthur Lambert Chute, for many years a summer resident of Falmouth, died at his home, 350 Marlboro street, Back Bay, last Saturday. His wife was the former Eliza Robinson Swift, daughter of Elijah Swift. The family has spent summers at the Swift home, opposite the Village Green. They are well known to old Falmouth residents as well as the summer colony. Dr. Chute as a rule spent only a brief vacation in Falmouth, coming for weekends with his wife and children while his extensive practise kept him occupied the greater part of the summer. Last summer for the first time he spent the entire season here. He was in poor health and hoped that the long vacation in Falmouth would build him up for his winter's work. When he left in September he had not regained the health he had hoped for.

Dr. Chute, who was in his 65th year, had practised in Boston for more than 40 years. He was eminent in urology and had been president of the American Urological Association, the American Association of Genito-Urinary surgeons, and the New England branch of the American Urological Association. He was on the staff of St. Elizabeth's hospital for many years, and was associated with the private department of the Massachusetts General hospital and consultant at a number of other hospitals, including the Corey Hill Hospital, the Brooks hospital, the Anna Jacques hospital in Newburyport, and the Natick hospital. For many years he was professor of urology at Tufts Medical school. In 1925 he was physician to President Coolidge's father.

Born in Georgetown, the son of Richard H. and Susan Rebecca Nelson Chute, he attended Beloit college. He left college before receiving his degree, on account of ill health and went abroad before entering Harvard Medical college. He was graduated from Harvard in 1895 and became house officer at Massachusetts General hospital. He was a member of the St. Botolph club, The Country club, the Union Boat club, the Harvard club, the Roxbury Clinical and Record club, the American College of Surgeons, the Massachusetts Medical society, the International Urological society, and other medical societies. He leaves his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Samuel McMurtie of New York City (the former Miss Mary Chute); and two sons, Dr. Richard Chute, on the staff of Massachusetts General hospital, and Oliver Swift Chute of Whitinsville.

Funeral services on Sunday afternoon were attended by medical and surgical men high in Dr. Chute's profession. Gordon Chapel, of Old South Church, Copley Square, was filled. Representatives of all the Boston hospitals, on whose staffs Dr. Chute had served, were present. The Rev. Boynton Merrill of the Second Church, West Newton, conducted the services. Bearers were Dr. B.D. Wetherell, Dr. Langdon Parsons, Dr. John Howard Fay, Bentley W. Warren, Jr., and Haven Parker. Interment was at Mt. Auburn cemetery.

Among Falmouth persons who attended the funeral services were Miss Margaret McKee, Mrs. Helene Aker, Miss Kathryn Clapp, who is a cousin of Mrs. Chute, and Henry Kip.

Obituary, David Alvin Chute, Jr.

David A. Chute, Jr. 75, a native and lifelong resident of Haverhill, died Sunday, March 20, 2016 at the Holy Family Hospital at Merrimack Valley, Haverhill.

Son of the late David A. and Amy (Phillips) Chute, he attended Haverhill Public Schools and the former Haverhill Trade School. Employed in the local shoe industry as a cutter at the former Allan Shoe Company he was employed for many years at the New Balance Shoe Co. of Lawrence until his retirement.

A longtime active and devoted member of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church of Haverhill, and the Sons of Italy Band, he was an accomplished guitarist and enjoyed singing for family and friends.

Predeceased by his wife Patricia (Brown) Chute, he will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by two sons, David A. Chute III, and his wife Dawn of Haverhill, and Richard D. "Rick" Pushee of Clifton Park, NY, three daughters, Bonnie M. Woolley and her husband David of Groveland, Deborah J. Carr of Haverhill, and Amy B. Chute of Haverhill, five brothers, Donald Chute and Phillip Chute of Maine, Timothy Chute of New Hampshire, Richard Chute of Haverhill, and Harold Chute of Methuen, a sister Bessie MacDonald of Haverhill , several grandchildren, great-grandchildren a, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sons Christopher Chute and Michael Pushee, a brother Robert Chute and a sister Eleanor.

Ernest F. Chute, 96, of Milton, a mechanical engineer for the former New England Telephone Co/. fro 45 years, died Nov 18, 2000 at Beth Israel Hospital after a short illness. Fred Merrill Chute, 82, of Avon, passed away on February 24, 2011 at Baypointe Rehab surrounded by his loving family. Fred served in the Coast Guard from 1949 - 1952. Following in his fathers footsteps, he worked at The Boston Albany Railroad as a steamfitters apprentice. He later worked for White Fuel of Boston for 30 years and was a retired member of Teamsters Local 25 of Boston. Fred enjoyed camping, fishing and gardening. An avid Boston Bruins fan, he loved attending his grandchildrens' many sports activities. Carol F. Chute Miller, 70, a resident of Green Valley for 14 years and formerly from California, passed away on Monday, Sept. 16, 2002. She had been a home economics teacher in California, a member of the Colonial Dames Seventeenth Century, National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Chi Omega Alumnae, Desert Hills Golf Club, and Newcomers No. 9.

She is survived by her husband Richard; son David (Wendy) Chute of Atherton, Calif.; mother Winona Byrd of Green Valley; Grandchildren Ben and Jenny Chute of Atherton; step-daughter Laurie (Peter) Wissoker of Washington, D.C., stepson Richard Miller Jr. of Arlington, Va.; and step-granddaughter Madeleine Wissoker of Washington, D.C.

Myles' ashes were buried in the family plot in the Snow Cemetery, Truro, MA in the fall of 1984. His mother, Phyllis' ashes are buried in the same plot. Myles was educated at Andover and Stanford University. He served in the Korean war, after doing basic training at Fort Ord, CA. He mostly played baseball in Japan. After the service, he and his friend, Norman Nourse, worked three years on Bikini during atom bomb project time. They were employees of Holmes and Knauver. After returning to CA, he met and married Carol. He worked for Reynolds Metals, Texas Aluminum, and Revere Extruders before his untimely death of a heart attack in 1984.

Obituary, Paul Edmund Chute

FRAMINGHAM/WORCESTER - Paul E. Chute, 82, formerly of Worcester, died peacefully on Wednesday, February 15, 2012, under the loving care of his family and the staff at Mary Ann Morse Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Natick. He was born and raised in Worcester, the son of Elbert R. and Mary B. (Burns) Chute and lived the last 14 years in Framingham.

Paul graduated from Commerce High School in Worcester and worked 30 years for Colonial Press in Clinton until his retirement in 1978. He proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1951 to 1957 and served in Korea where he received the Korean Service Metal with two Bronze Stars.

His wife, Theresa (Dumas) Chute died in 1978. He is survived by his two daughters, Paula J. Amiralian and her husband, Alan and Anne M. Moncada and her children, Elizabeth and Benjamin, all of Framingham; four step-daughters, Cheryl Norwood, Laureen Landgren, Karen Osowski and Lisa Lindstrom; a sister, Marie Williams and her husband, Norman of Boylston; several step-grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; several nephews and nieces. A brother, William Chute, predeceased him.

Paul was a devoted family man and enjoyed time spent with his animals over the years, especially Snoopy.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, February 19, at the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. A private graveside service will be held at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. Obituary, Helen Weatherhead Chute

Funeral Mass for Helen W. Chute, 90, of Shaker Heights, Ohio and Topinabee, was held Monday at the Indian River Catholic Shrine. Rev. Fr. Thomas Dominiak officiated and burial was in Burt-Mullett Cemetery, Topinabee.

Mrs. Chute died Aug. 7 at Community Memorial Hospital in Cheboygan.

The former Helen W. Weatherhead was born in Cleveland, Ohio on Oct. 25. 1890. She had resided in Shaker Heights, Ohio and had spent her summers in Topinabee. The past five years she had resided year around in Topinabee.

On Jan. 22, 1918 she married Robert J. Chute in Cleveland, Ohio. He preceded her in death on March 29. 1953.

Mrs. Chute was a former chairwoman of the Woman's Board of Hiram House in Cleveland and was active in the Smith College Club of Cleveland and the Laurel School Fundraising Club.

Survivors include one son, Robert J. Chute Jr., of Cleveland, Ohio; three daughters Mrs. Edward (Elizabeth) Peck of Jackson, Mrs. John (Ann) Waldorf of Shaker Heights and Margaret Chute of Topinabee; seven grandchildren four great-grandchildren one brother, John Weatherhead of Fort Wayne, Ind.

Patty Jean Carrow Lansing Age 84, passed away Jan. 27, 2012 in Lansing, MI. She was born February 24, 1927 in Grand Ledge, MI to the late Roy T. and Ethelyn G. (Brazee) Chute. She worked as a teachers aid at Waverly Community Schools, was a member of St. Gerard Catholic Church, order of the Eastern Star, and loved singing and music. She married husband Rex July 19, 1947 whose professional baseball career and medical training took the two of them and their family various places around the country. She is survived by her loving family: husband, Dr. Rexford E. Carrow; sons, Rick (Pat) of Bath, Tom (Melissa) of Grand Ledge; daughter, Amy (Mark) Feinauer of Okemos; grandchildren, Delaney, Kyle (Kristen), Brooke (John), and Jeff; great-grandchildren, Caleb, Kenadeigh, and Summer; sisters-in-law, Phyllis (Howard) Behm, Maureen Leach, and Hannah Rae Struble; cousins, Joy Godo, Nola Ann Colburn, Marliss Waldron, and Shelley (Paul) Kuehne; additional family, Terri Carrow, Phyllis Lehman, and Denise Haskell. Obituary, Elizabeth Henrietta ("Betty") Chute Peck

Elizabeth "Betty" C. Peck, 75, of Burt Township and Jackson, died Sept. 9, 1994, at Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey. Funeral was Tuesday, Sept. 13, at the Topinabee Community Church. Pastor Richard Hooker officiated; burial will be in the Burt-Mullett Cemetery, Topinabee. She was born Nov. 25, 1918, in Cleveland, Ohio, and began her summer residency at Burl Township as an infant when her parents, Robert J. Chute and Helen Weatherhead, brought her to visit her grandparents, Albert J. and Henrietta Weatherhead.

She grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, and graduated from Shaker Heights High School in 1937 in a class famous for its "experimental group," closely watched by the nation's educators. She studied at Smith College in North Hampton, Mass., until the middle of her junior year when she left to get married. She and Edward I. Peek, also a native of Cleveland, met in the sum�mer of 1934 when he visited the Weatherheads at Burt Lake. They married March 30, 1940, in Cleveland. The couple made their home in Shaker Heights, later moving to Cleveland Heights, Ohio. After the war, the Pecks built their own summer home on Burt Lake.

Mrs. Peck was active with her husband's manufacturing businesses as a financial consultant.

In recent years, the Pecks traveled around the northeast United States in search of records and names and dates of their fore-bearers. Her genealogy research led to correspondence with people throughout the world. Mrs. Peck loved flower and vegetable gardening, long-distance swimming, embroidery, and was an accomplished seamstress. She was a member of the board of directors at Hiram House Camp outside Cleveland, Ohio. She was active with the United Way, as well as a book club and women's club in Jackson.

She is survived by her husband, Edward I. Peck; three children, Edward I. Peck Jr. and his wife, Lucy Poxson Peck, of Cleveland, Sarah Elizabeth and her husband, Kenneth Lappin, of Cleveland, and Jared M. Peck of Clifton Forge, Va.; three grandchildren; two sisters, Anne C. Waldorf of Shaker Heights, Ohio, and Margaret M. Chute of Burt Township; her uncle, John P. Weatherhead of Burt Township and Louisville, KY; and several nieces and nephews.

Dale Chute, age 75, of Darfur, died at his home on Saturday, April 23, 2011.

Dale Arlen Chute, Sr., was born May 11, 1935, at the family farm in rural Hanska to parents Edgar and Julia (Ulen) Chute. Dale grew up in the Hanska area where he attended the Hanska School. He worked farm jobs and various factory jobs. He married June Ellanson on July 5, 1956.

Dale enjoyed visiting family, fishing, cars, shopping, and making nic names for the grandkids; horsefeathers, dirty Sally, shorty, punky, porky, and little princess just to name a few. He also enjoyed his pet cats, Suzy, Sissy and Garfield.

Dale is survived by his children, Robert Chute of Darfur, Debbie Chute of St. James, Theresa Eagle of St. James, Brenda Schultz and special friend Evon Bussler of Glencoe, Julie Chute and special friend Leslie Ring of New Ulm, Dale Chute, Jr. of New Ulm, Randy Chute of St. James, Tina (Randy) Palmquist of Lewisville, 22 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, sisters, Goldie (Eldon) Kintzi, Jane Skarphol, sister-in-law, Rose Chute, many nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Dr. Joseph Chute. 952 Twenty-sixth avenue northeast, who died yesterday, be will held at 8:30 a.m. Friday fro the home and at 9 o'clock from the Pro-Cathedral. Burial will be in St. Anthony Cemetery.

Doctor Chute was 28 years of age and was born and reared in Minneapolis. He was the oldest son of Albert H. Chute, formerly a member of Chute Brothers, East Minneapolis lumber firm.

Lucille M. Chute, 96, Aitkin, died Friday, December 4, 2015, at the Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby.

A mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, December 8, at Holy Family Catholic Church in McGregor with Fr. Paul Larson officiating.

Arrangements were by Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home in Aitkin.

Lucille was born June 15, 1919, in Spencer Township, Aitkin County, to Cyprian �Phillip� and Mary (Graton) Cartie and graduated from Aitkin High School in 1938. She graduated from Duluth School of Business and worked for Aitkin County at the Farm Service Agency for a number of years. She married Russell W. Chute October 12, 1944, at St. James Catholic Church in Aitkin and they farmed in the Hassman area. Lucille was a charter member of the Lucky 13 4H club and served as a leader for over 50 years. She had been active with the Council of Catholic Women at St. James Catholic Church and was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in McGregor.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Russell; and all her siblings.

Mrs. Geo. E. Chute, an esteemed resident of this village, died on Tuesday. Acute Bright's disease caused death.

Funeral services are being conducted this afternoon by Rev. James A. Geer of the Methodist church, and interment will be in Oak Knoll cemetery.

Deceased, whose maiden name was Mary M. Sausser, was born at Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, July 10, 1870. She came to Princeton with her parents when seven years old, and has lived in this vicinity ever since. She was married to Daniel Umbehocker, February 1, 1895, and two children were born to this union, both of whom are living, viz: Mrs. O. Buckingham and Miss Sadie Umbehocker of Carlyle, Montana. On October 23, 1904, the subject of this sketch was united in marriage to George E. Chute, who survives her. Three children blessed the second union, and a daughter, Lydia, is living. Besides the husband and three children deceased is survived by four brothers, as follows: William Sausser of Carlyle, Montana, and Sam, Charles, and Don Sausser of this village.

Robert Lee Chute, 88, Aitkin, died Wednesday, April 27, 2016, at Aitkin Health Services.

He was born March 25, 1928, in Waldeck to H.E. Ed and Julia (Hoving) Chute, Sr. He graduated from Aitkin High School. He farmed and was a horse and dog trainer, performing shows for county fairs and gatherings. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Harold and Russell Chute.

Robert is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 30, at Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home in Aitkin. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Morrison Township, Aitkin County.

Obituary, Lucille May Worcester Chute

Lucille W. Chute, 84, Keene, died Feb. 4, 2011, at Westwood Care and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born in Emporia, Kan., Aug., 18 1926, daughter of Alvin and Dorothy (Doile) Worcester.

She graduated from Emporia High School and went to Emporia State College.

She married Chandler Chute July 22, 1945; they were married for 61 years, until his death in 2006. Together they owned and operated Chute and Page Refrigeration and Air Conditioning in Keene.

Mrs. Chute enjoyed the gardens and flower beds around her home. She was very particular when it came to their appearance. She also loved the birds that frequented her bird feeders.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Keene; she was a 50-plus-year member and past worthy matron of the Portia-Henocon-Asteria chapter, Order of Eastern Star No. 14, and a past president of the local Business and Professional Women chapter.

Obituary, Lydia Nathalie Dyer Clarke Chute

Lydia Dyer Chute, of the Village of Glens Falls, died Feb. 6, 2012, at Maple Leaf Healthcare.

She was born May 17, 1912, the same day Fenway Park opened. She attended Straw School in Manchester and, after an illness, transferred to Mrs. Sargeant's School, from which she graduated. She graduated from Manchester Central High School and then from the former College of Practical Arts and Letters at Boston University in 1934.

She was the daughter and second child of the late Benson B. Dyer and Cora E. (Davis) Dyer. She was the subject of the "Replacement Child" story by John Clayton, printed in the Union Leader. She was predeceased by her parents, a brother, Frank Dyer, husbands Alfred J. Clark and Laurel G. Chute, and two grandchildren, Pamela and Matthew Clark.

She was the Exemplar Candidate when the Manchester Order of Rainbow Girls was formed in Manchester in 1924, and was also the organist. She was initiated in Ruth Chapter No. 16, Order of the Eastern Star, the former Nazarene Shrine No. 2, White Shrine of Jerusalem, now merged with Rugged Cross Shrine No. 5, in Boscawen, both in 1934. She served as Worthy Matron in 1950 with the late Leonard Rowell and with her husband, Alfred Clark, in 1973. She served as Worthy High Priestess of Nazarene Shrine in 1934-44.

She was a longtime member of the First Congregational Church and served as president of the Women's Union, the Mothers Club at the church and a member of the Lydia Circle at the Church. She was also a Parish Visitor at the First Congregational Church, supporting her sons in Derryfield Chapter, Order of DeMolay. She served as president of Manchester Assembly No. 93, Social Order of Beauceant and continued to be active in the organization after it merged with Reading (Mass.) Assembly. She and her husband, Alfred, were active members of the National Association of Federal Employees and served as its historian for many years. She also was a member of the Auxiliary of the Sons of Union Veterans.

She was very proud of being able to put her three sons through college, and that her three sons were Eagle Scouts. At the time they became Eagle Scouts, it was believed there was only one other family with that distinction. She was very pleased to be present when her son John received his 50-year medal from Washington Lodge No. 61 F and AM in 2010.

She was employed by Public Service of New Hampshire until she married Alfred Clark in 1935. She was a part-time employee at the Thom McAn shoe store in the 1950s and later full time at Liberty Mutual Insurance Co., retiring in 1977 as a claim adjuster.

Burial at the Proctor Cemetery in Andover.

Wilton, Oct 25 � The body of Nelson Chute, about 74, will be brought here for burial in the family lot in the Perham Corner cemetery late Monday afternoon following funeral services in Mansfield, Mass.

Mr. Chute was a former resident of Wilson, but left here about 40 years ago. He lived in Milford until about 25 years ago and previous to his death had made his home in Ashland, Mass.

Survivors include a son, Ralph H. Chute of Quincy, Mass; a daughter, Mrs. Helen Linpus of Norton, Mass; a brother Edward Chute of West Boyslton, Mass., and two sisters, Mrs. Annie Jenkins of Oakland, R.I. and Mrs Minard Banks of New York State.

Obituary, Catherine E. Bauer Chute

Catherine E. Chute of Greenport died there Feb. 3 at San Simeon by the Sound Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was 93.

She was born Jan. 12, 1917, in New Rochelle, N.Y., to John and Caroline (Verity) Bauer.

In August 1947, she married Raymond Chute Sr. in Greenport. For 38 years, she worked as an operator for Verizon in Riverhead. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers and Greenport United Methodist Church.

According to her family, she enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting and gardening. "She loved to read and she loved her flowers," they said.

Predeceased by her husband in 1985 and her sister, Barbra Schumejda, Ms. Chute is survived by her children, Raymond and Robert, both of Greenport; her siblings, Fran Samal of Litchfield, Conn., John Bauer of Delhi, N.Y., and George Bauer of Peconic; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The family received visitors Feb. 6 at Horton-Mathie Funeral Home in Greenport, where funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Ben Burns. Interment followed at Sterling Cemetery in Greenport.

Mrs. Burl Carpenter - Mrs. Eugenia F. Carpenter, 79, died today at 12:50 a.m. in the Lancaster-Fairfield Hospital, following an extensive illness. She was a resident of Carbon Hill, Ohio. The wife of Burl M. Carpenter, she leaves three daughters, Mrs. Harry Nabelgal, Mrs. Emmett Carroll and Mrs. Carl Valentine, all of Lancaster; two sons, Theodore L., of the home, and Burl W. of Columbus; 12 grandchildren; 10 greatgrandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are tentatively scheduled for Friday afternoon in the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home. Burial will be in Old Chute Cemetery, Carbon Hill, final arrangements will be announced later. Friends may call at the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home after 7 p.m. today.
