John Winston Hinton, John Winston Henton,  Zilphia EugeniaThompson

We are looking for the death and burial locations of John W. Henton and Zilphia Eugenia Thompson Henton.  We would also like information on their children, where they were married and to whom, etc.  The last we have found of John and Zilphia they are in Nacogdoches, Texas, after their children are grown and on their own.  The year was 1920.  We have some information on the children but would like more.

UPDATE:  I recently found the burial place of John W. Henton.  On the death certificate his name is spelled Hinton. He is buried in Shook's Chapel Cemetery near Sulphur Springs, Hopkins County, Texas.  I have been unable to locate Zilphia Henton/Hinton.  She was not listed in the statewide death index under either spelling.

UPDATE:  I have a lead on a Henton buried in Hot Springs, Garland County, Arkansas.  The index read J. W. Henton, but had Zilphia's date of death recorded.  I have sent a letter requesting more information on this.  If necessary I will attach a copy of the letter written to the county clerk to an application for a death certificate and pay the money to get that certificate.  It was too much of a coincidence to let go by unnoticed.

UPDATE:  Well, I got back the response from Arkansas.  They say there was no one that died in Arkansas with that name.  Now I am back to square one.  I sent the death certificate application along with the letter I wrote to the county clerk.  Hopefully they checked ALL the information, not just a quick glance IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN!!  So where do I look now?

UPDATE:  I heard from Cora Henton's granddaughter a while back.  That would make her Zilphia's great granddaughter just like me.  My cousin! She lives near where John and Zilphia were last living and where John Winston Henton is buried.  I am hoping she will be able to solve the mystery of where  Zilphia is buried but I haven't heard back from her in quite a while.  I guess I will try writing to the county clerks again to see if they missed something.  I hope she gets back with me.  I have a feeling she knows what I need to know!!!!

UPDATE:  I have written a letter to the Justice of the Peace that also serves as the Coroner in Hopkins County, Texas to see if possibly there is a record at the county level of Zilphia's death.  I have also been in touch with a lady that has offered to look for obituaries and wills or probate information at the courthouse.  If nothing turns up here I guess I am at a standstill on Zilphia unless a family member can come up with a new clue.
