Great Grandma Henton's Wacky Cake
This cake is mixed in the pan (ungreased) in which it is baked.
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon soda
1 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons cocoa
Combine these ingredients in the flour sifter and sift into pan. Then make three holes in the mixture. Space them evenly. In the first hole put 1 tablespoon vinegar. In the second hole put 1 teaspoon vanilla. In the third hole put 5 tablespoons melted butter. Then pour 1 cup of cold water over the entire thing. Take a spoon and mix well. Bake in 350 degree oven for 30 minutes.
*I made this cake on November 6, 2004. It was quite good! It took about 5 minutes to make. You would never imagine it had vinegar in it. The taste and texture were similar to that of a box mix.
