The 1910 Census in Giles County, VA shows Joseph Lynch Straley (age 48) as the head of household & living with his daughters Bessie H. (17, born TN), Katie M. (10, born VA) & Daisy E. (6, born VA). Joseph�s wife Eliza had died in 1908. About 1911, Joseph married his second wife, Ashley Jane GOOCH, and they had two more children. Eventually, Joseph had at least thirteen grandchildren.
