The following is a partial list of land and other property transactions in which Richard Beall was involved. Not all transactions in which Richard was involved have been found. In some cases there appear to be records of land sold without a corresponding document showing when it was purchased. Also, some land/other property that was purchased seems not to have ever been sold. Also, not all information found in some records was copied. Nevertheless, it is believed the following is a fairly complete list of property transactions involving Richard Beall between 1829 and 1876.

(Note: The Pike County courthouse does not contain general Grantor and Grantee indexes for property records. Instead they have plat indexes. A plat index is useful for determining all the owners of a particular property, but is not so useful for finding all the properties of a particular individual. However, each book has a grantor index, so that by searching the grantor index in all the books for a particular time period, it is possible to find the properties sold by a particular individual during that time period. Then after finding the properties sold, it is usually possible to find when and from whom the property was bought by a subsequent search of the plat index.)
