     George Washington Kennemer was born on 8 December 1860 in Limestone County, Alabama.3 He was the son of William Johnson Kennemer and Elizabeth Jane Click.2 George married Hattie Jane Johnson, daughter of (?) Johnson, on 19 December 1883 in Lamar County, Texas.2 George and Hattie had at least nine children. These children are Victor R., Max, Roy, Alex Johnson, William, Minnie, Molly Verona, Styles M. and Daisy May.
          George, age 39, and Hattie, age 33, were enumerated on the 1900 Federal Census in Justice Precinct 5, Wise County, Texas. Also enumerated in this household were seven of their children: Daisy (age 15), Molly (age 12), Victor (age 10), Styles (age 7), William (age 5), Minnie (age 3), and Max (age 0 years - he's about 1 month old). Hattie's name was given as Lee H. They rent their farm.4 George worked as a farmer.4 Follow the link to see the census image. I have not been able to locate them on the 1910 census index.           George, age 58, and Hattie, age 53, were enumerated on the 1920 Federal Census in Byers Town, Clay County, Texas. Also enumerated in this household were their children: Daisy (age 35), Styles (age 27), William (age 25), and Minnie (age 23). They rent their dwelling.5 George worked as a farmer.5
          George, age 69, and Hattie, age 63, were enumerated on the 1930 Federal Census in Byers. Also enumerated in this household was their daughter, Daisy, age 45. They own their house and they have a radio.6 Follow the link to see the census image.
