     Jeanne Emilie Jahn was born on 16 January 1908 in Omaha, Douglas County, Nebraska.3,4,5,6 She was the daughter of Vaclav Johann Jahn von Neumark and Antoinette Cecilia Pliska. She went by the name Jenny.7 Jenny, age 2, was enumerated in the household of her parents on the 1910 Federal Census at 478 22nd Street in South Omaha, Douglas County, Nebraska.7 Follow the link to see the census image. Jeanne, age 12, was enumerated in the household of her parents on the 1920 Federal Census at 4609 South 20th Street in Omaha, Douglas County, Nebraska.           Jeanne married Fredrick John Michael, son of Matthew Michael and Augusta Miiller, on 12 June 1934 in Nebraska.10,11,12 Jeanne and Fredrick had 2 children. These children are Marilynn Jean and James Frederic. Jeanne worked as a public school teacher. According to Diane Jestes, she " [t]aught seventh and eighth grade English [in] Omaha Public Schools. [She was on]e of five Lincoln teachers city-wide chosen by Dr. Fredstrom to pilot the elementary gifted program in the 1950's. Taught fifth grade, and later upper elementary, gifted students at Hartley. Also taught at Persing and Hawthorne elementary schools in the 1950s - 1970s."1,12
          Jeanne died on 30 August 2002 in Lincoln, Lancaster County, Nebraska.12 She was 94 old. The cause of death was pulmonary fibrosis.12 She was buried at Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery in Lincoln, Lancaster County, Nebraska.12
