     Agnes Alice Pliska was born on 27 March 1893 in Omaha, Douglas County, Nebraska.2,3,4 She was the daughter of Johann J. Pliska and Frances Dufek.1 Follow the icon to see a picture of the Pliska family taken sometime after Frances (Dufek) Pliska died in 1894. Agnes, age 7, was enumerated in the household of her father on the 1900 Federal Census in Omaha.1 Follow the link to see the census image.
          Agnes, age 17, was enumerated on the 1910 Federal Census at 566 35th Avenue in Omaha, Douglas County, Nebraska. This is the household of her employer, Dwight Benedict.5 Follow the link to see the census image.
          Agnes married Frank Joseph Woksa (Senior), son of Joseph Woksa and Barbara Citta, on 10 September 1913 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Omaha, Douglas County, Nebraska.3 She was 20 years old; he was 24. Agnes and Frank had three children. These children are Frank Joseph, Frances Mildred and Bernice Roseline.6 Here is a picture of Frank and Agnes in October 1964 (photo courtesy of Diane Jestes). Frank died on 13 March 1965, leaving Agnes a widow.7
          Agnes died on 16 September 1974 in Council Bluffs, Pottawattamie County, Iowa.3,4 She was 81 old. The cause of death was Parkinson's disease.6 She was buried at Plumer Settlement Cemetery in Mills County, Iowa.3 According to the SSDI, her last residence was in Council Bluffs.4
