Maude Parrish was born circa 1879 in Illinois.2,3 Her name has also been given as Marie. Maude married William H. Millslagle, son of Jacob Marion Millslagle and Elizabeth A. Peek, on 15 July 1896 in Christian County, Illinois.1,4 Maude and William had at least 8 children but I have 10 names so a couple of these children must be the same people. These children are A., Harry, William H., Merle E., Walter Freeman, Jeneive, Lube L., Floyd, Ira I. and George H..5
William, age 34, and Maude, age 32, were enumerated on the 1910 Federal Census in Johnson Township, Christian County, Illinois. Also enumerated in this household were their children: Lube (age 12), Floyd (age 11), Ida (age 8), George (age 7), William (age 5), and Merle (age 3). They rent their farm.5 Follow the link to see the census image. William H.           William, age 55, and Maude, age 52, were enumerated on the 1930 Federal Census at 616 S. Clay Street in Taylorville, Christian County, Illinois. Also enumerated in this household were their daughter, Jeneive (age 15), and William's father, Jacob (age 90). They rented their house for $30 monthly and they do not have a radio. William and Frank are both marked for being a Veteran of the Civil War but William was not born then. I do not know if he really is a veteran of another war. He does not have an occupation listed.6 Follow the link to see the census image.
