Enos Northrup was born on 14 September 1733 in Ridgefield, Fairfield County, Connecticut.1 He was the son of John Northrup and Rebecca Roberts. He took an oath against Catholicism and swore fealty to King George.2 Enos married Eunice Northrup, daughter of Jabez Northrup and Sarah Lobdell.1 Enos and Eunice had at least two boys but only the name of one child is known, John.2 Enos worked as the Under Sheriff on 31 October 1771 in Dutchess County, New York.2
Enos was enumerated on the 1790 census for Dutchess County, New York. It is possible that the following were also living in the household: Eunice, his wife. I have not been able to identify these people that were also enumerated with him: three males over 16; two males under 16; and one female.3 Follow the link to see the census image. 1790 U.S. Census, Washington, Dutchess County, New York, page 170 and 171 Enos died on 11 September 1807 in Dutchess County, New York.1 He was 73 years old.
