Andrew W. Millslagle was born in February 1876 in Ohio.^1,2,3 He was the son of Jacob Millslagle and Rhoda (?).⁴ Andrew moved with his parents to West Virginia between 1876 and 1878.⁵ Andrew, age 4, was enumerated in the household of his parents on the 1880 Federal Census in Jefferson District, Pleasants County, West Virginia.⁴ Follow the link to see the census image. Andrew, age 24, was enumerated in the household of his father on the 1900 Federal Census in Jefferson District, Pleasants County, West Virginia.⁶ Follow the link to see the census image. He was married at least once. The 1930 census gives that he was 29 at his first marriage but he is listed as single. I have seen single used to mean many different things so, I don't know if his wife is still alive or not.⁷ Andrew, age 54, was enumerated in the household of his brother, Joseph Warren Millslagle, on the 1930 Federal Census in Muskingum, Washington County, Ohio. He has no occupation listed but I believe that he works on his brother's farm. He is not a U.S. war veteran.⁸ Follow the link to see the census image.
