     Lawrence A. Millslagle was born on 6 September 1898 in Illinois.^2,3,4 He was the son of Charles Henry Milslagle and Clara C. Swanson.⁵ Lawrence, age 11, was enumerated in the household of his mother on the 1910 Federal Census in Lewistown, Fulton County, Illinois. He attends school.⁶ Follow the link to see the census image. Lawrence married Florence Berg, daughter of Olaf Berg, circa 1918. He was about 20 and she was about 22.^5,7 Lawrence and Florence may have had numerous children but I only know the name of one child, Helen B..
          Lawrence, age 21, and Florence, age 24, were enumerated on the 1920 Federal Census in Young Hickory, Fulton County, Illinois. Also enumerated in this household was Florence's father, Olaf Berg (age 54).⁵ Lawrence worked as a miner working in a coal shaft.⁵ Follow the link to see the census image.
          Lawrence, age 32, and Florence, age 35, were enumerated on the 1930 Federal Census at R.R. # 8 in Springfield, Sangamon County, Illinois. Also enumerated in this household was their 9 year-old daughter, Helen. The rent on their dwelling is $12 monthly. They own a radio. Lawrence is not a veteran.¹ Lawrence worked as a coal miner.¹ Follow the link to see the census image.
          Lawrence died in June 1964.⁴ He was 65 years old.⁴ According to the SSDI, his last residence was in Illinois.⁴ He is the 3rd great-grandson of Johann Andreas Mühlschlägel, original immigrant.
