William Norton was born in 1558 in Sharpenhoe, Bedfordshire, England.2,3 He was the son of Richard Norton (Senior) and Margery Wyngate.4 William married Margaret Hawes.5 William and Margaret may have had numerous children but I only know the name of one child, William. William worked as a tanner in White Lackington, England.5 William married Dionisia Cholmeley on 15 May 1583 in Sharpenhoe, Bedfordshire.6,7 William and Dionisia had 8 children, as reported on a census record. These children are Francis, John, Elizabeth, Hugh, Daniel, Phebe, Richard and Thomas.4 William died on 19 October 1622 St. Michael in Cornhill, County London, England.4,8 He was about 64 years old. He was buried in St. Michael in Cornhill, County London, England.5
