Johannes Mühlschlägel was born on 16 January 1710 in Lachen-Speyerdorf, Palatinate, Bayern, Germany.¹ He was the son of Hans Henrich Mühlschlägel and Maria Apolonia Hamman.¹ He was christened on 19 January 1710 at Lachen-Speydorf Evangelisch-Reformierte Kirche, in Lachen. His godfather was Johannes MEISTERSCHREINER, a master carpenter.¹ On 20 August 1724, Johannes became the godfather of Johannes, the son of Henrich and Anna Catherine Hamman. The record lists him as Herr Johann Henrich MUGHLSCHLAGEL, present schoolmaster, legitimate son.² He is the brother of Johann Andreas Mühlschlägel, original immigrant.
