Clifford, age 23, was enumerated on the 1930 Federal Census at Fort Douglas Military Reservation in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, Utah.⁴ Clifford worked as a soldier in the U.S. Army. The census lists him in Company H, either the 38th or 88th Infantry, the first number is hard to decipher.⁴ Clifford died on 3 November 1979 in Los Angeles County, California.^1,3 He was 72 years old. His Social Security Number was 236-32-6039 and was issued in West Virginia.¹ According to the SSDI, his last residence was in Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California.¹
