     Wayne C. Millslagle was born on 2 April 1919 in Nebraska.^2,3,4,5,6 He was the son of Claud Clinton Millslagle and Ethel (?).⁷ Wayne, age 11 months, was enumerated in the household of his parents on the 1920 Federal Census in Merryman Village, Cherry County, Nebraska.⁷ Follow the link to see the census image. Wayne, age 11, was enumerated in the household of his parents on the 1930 Federal Census at 4 Shady Rest Auto Camp in Wray, Yuma County, Colorado.⁸ Follow the link to see the census image.
          He enlisted on 15 July 1944 in the Army at Ft. Douglas, Utah. He was a resident of Summit County, Utah at the time of his enlistment. He was inducted as a private and was to serve for the "duration of the War or other emergency plus six months. . ." He had completed grammar school. He was married. His grave marker gives that he became Corporal. His unit was "CPL BTRY C 575 FA BN FA". This will need further research to find what the abbreviations mean.^9,10
          Wayne died on 15 January 1960.^2,11 He was 40 years old. He was buried in Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis, Meade County, South Dakota.¹² His Social Security Number was 503-14-5585 and was issued in South Dakota.² He is the 4th great-grandson of Johann Andreas Mühlschlägel, original immigrant.
