Texanna Estes was born circa 1904 in Illinois.² She was the daughter of Ennis Estes and Lenna Wheeler.¹ Texanna married Howard Phares in 1925. He was 20 and she was 21.¹ Texanna and Howard may have had numerous children but I only know the name of one child, Doris. Texanna, age 26, was enumerated in the household of her parents on the 1930 Federal Census in Taylorville Township, Christian County, Illinois.
