Mary Lobdell was born on 30 October 1704 in Milford, New Haven County, Connecticut.¹ She was the daughter of Joshua Lobdell (I) and Mary Burwell.¹ According to Sallinger, after the death of their mother, Joshua (the elder), moved with his children Ridgefield, Fairfield County, Connecticut in 1712.¹ Mary married Samuel Plum, son of John Plum and Rachel Bunnel.¹
