     Samuel Malone was born on 19 October 1867 at a farm north of Campgrove in Marshall County, Illinois.1,2 He was the son of Samuel Malone and Margaret McConnell.1 On 8 March 1875, Samuel moved with his parents to Section 6 Penn Township, Stark County, Illinois.3 Samuel reportedly appeared on the 1880 census in Penn Twp. I still need to verify this census record.4 Samuel married Bertha Millslagle on 28 October 1903 in Stark County, Illinois.5 Samuel and Bertha had at least 6 children. These children are Charles H., Lloyd Eugene, Mary Elizabeth, Edna Margaret, Bernice and Glenn G..           Samuel, age 52, and Bertha, age 34, were enumerated on the 1920 Federal Census in Penn Twp. Also enumerated in this household were their children: Edna (age 14), Charles (age 12), Lloyd (age 8), and Bernice (age 6).           Samuel, age 62, and Bertha, age 49, were enumerated on the 1930 Federal Census in Penn Twp. Also enumerated in this household were their children: Lloyd (age 18), Bernice (age 16), and Glenn (age 9). They own their farm.7 Samuel worked as a farmer.7 Follow the link to see the census image.           Samuel died on 1 November 1935 in Penn Twp.8 He was 68 years old.8 He and Bertha were buried in Snareville Cemetery in Stark Co.9
