Margaret McConnell was born in June 1840 in County Down, Ireland.^1,2 Margaret married Samuel Malone in United States.^1,3 They had at least 7 children (most have not been entered into this database): William H (born Mar 1860), James John (born 7 Jan 1863), Margaret (born circa 1866), Samuel (born Oct 1867), Susan A. (born circa 1870), Elizabeth (born circa 1872), and Mary (born 24 Oct 1875).¹ Margaret and Samuel were living in Marshall County, Illinois. It appears that all except their youngest child were born there as well.⁴
On 8 March 1875, Margaret and Samuel moved to Section 6 Penn Township, Stark County, Illinois.⁴ Samuel died on 13 June 1898, leaving Margaret a widow.^1,4 Margaret died on 2 July 1902 in Penn Twp.^5,4 She was 62 years old. She and Samuel were buried in Snareville Cemetery in Stark County, Illinois.⁶
