     Lewis Cass Ulry was born circa 1848 in Illinois.² Lewis married Margaret J. Milslagle on 22 December 1870 in Adams County, Illinois.¹ He was about 22 and she was about 18. Lewis and Margaret had at least four children. These children are Alfred W., Zella, Abraham and Jesse.³
           Between 1874 and 1876, Lewis and Margaret moved to Granville, Platte County, Illinois.⁴
          Lewis, age 32, and Margaret, age 28, were enumerated on the 1880 Federal Census in Granville, Platte County, Nebraska. Also enumerated in this household were their children: Alfred (age 8), Zella (age 6), Abraham (age 4), Jesse (age 1).³ Follow the link to see the census image. Lewis worked as a farmer.³
