Abraham Ulry was born on 7 January 1876 in Humphrey, Platte County, Nebraska.^2,3 He was the son of Lewis Cass Ulry and Margaret J. Milslagle.¹ Abraham, age 4, was enumerated in the household of his parents on the 1880 Federal Census in Granville, Platte County, Nebraska.¹ Follow the link to see the census image. Abraham married Katherine Delanty on 27 October 1903 in Grand Island, Hall County, Nebraska.⁴ Abraham and Katherine had at least 3 children. These children are Clyde E., Lewis A. and Louise. He had numerous jobs including stenographer, bookkeeper, warehouse man, driver of team, and credit manager. In 1919 he became the owner and operator of Ulry-Talbert "Whol Groc Co" with branches in Alliance, Nebraska and Winner, South Dakota.⁴ In 1940, Abraham and Katherine were living at 1409 W. 3rd in Grand Island, Hall County, Nebraska.
