Direct Line Ancestor Sarah Keith

     Sarah Keith was born circa 1808 in Pennsylvania.1,2 Sarah has also been reported as being born in Ohio.3 Sarah married Andrew Milslagel, son of Georg Henrich Mühlschlägel and Catherine Loy, on 6 August 1839 in Morgan County, Ohio. He was about 57 and she was about 31.4 The marriage was performed by Elder Joseph E. Smith. Sarah and Andrew had 3 children. These children are Eliza, Jane and Peter Andrew.5
          Andrew was enumerated on the 1840 census for Monroe County, Ohio as Andrew Millslagle, a male aged between 50 and 60 years old.            Before 1850, Sarah and Andrew moved to Johnson County, Iowa. Their daughter, Eliza, moved with them; Jane and Peter were not yet born.7
          Andrew, age 76, and Sarah, age 42, were enumerated on the 1860 Federal Census the Cedar Bluff Post Office in Linn Township, Cedar County, Iowa. Also enumerated in this household were their children: Eliza (age 20), Jane (age 18), and Peter (age 9). Enumerated next door is Anson Wickham and his family. Living with Andrew are two other Wickhams, Isaac and William.           Sarah is the earliest known progenerator for this family.
