     Eliza Milslagel was born between 1839 and 1840 in Ohio.1,2,3 She was the daughter of Andrew Milslagel and Sarah Keith.4 She may have been enumerated on the 1840 census for Monroe County, Ohio in the household of her father as a female aged newborn to five.5 Follow the link to see the census image. 1840 U.S. Census, Union Township, Monroe County, Ohio, page 79 Before 1850, Eliza moved with her parents to Johnson County, Iowa.6 Eliza, age 20, was enumerated in the household of her parents on the 1860 Federal Census the Cedar Bluff Post Office in Linn Township, Cedar County, Iowa.7 Follow the link to see the census image. 1860 U.S. Census, Linn, Cedar County, Iowa, population schedule, page 222
          Eliza married Bimuel R. Wickham, son of John Wickham and Eunice Cunningham, on 19 December 1865 at the M. E. Church in Cedar County, Iowa. He was between 35 and 40 and she was 26.8 Bimuel and Eliza had 8 children. Six of these children are: William, Albert, John, Ernest, Caroline and John. Caroline was born circa 1863 - two years before Bimuel and Eliza were married. Is this Bimuel's second marriage? Is Eliza Caroline's stepmother?9
          Bimuel, age 44, and Eliza, age 26, were enumerated on the 1870 Federal Census in Mechanicsville, Cedar County, Iowa.           Bimuel died on 28 November 1916, leaving Eliza a widow.9 Eliza applied for a widow's military pension on 4 December 1916.11 Bimuel Wickham index listing for file number #355384 & 836796 Eliza died in 1918 in Hardin County, Iowa.9 She and Bimuel were buried in Hazelgreen Cemetery in Hardin Co..9
          She is the great-granddaughter of Johann Andreas Mühlschlägel, original immigrant.
