     Jacob Wimer was born in 1829 in Hardy County, Virginia.1,2 He was the son of (?) Wimer and Martha Milslagle.1 Jacob married Catherine (?).1
          Jacob, age 51, and Catherine, age 50, were enumerated on the 1880 Federal Census in Lost River Magisterial District, Hardy County, West Virginia. Also enumerated in this household were Jacob's mother, Martha, and a boarder, Sarah Milslagle. Catherine is Jacob's first cousin, once removed.3 Jacob worked as a farmer.3 Follow the link to see the census image.
