     Axsha Cheshire was born say 1783.¹ She was the daughter of Uriah Cheshire (Senior) and Barbara (?).² The 1790 census records for Virginia have been lost. Other sources for residence information will need to be found. The 1800 census records for Virginia have been lost. Other sources for residence information will need to be found. Axsha married George Milslagel (Junior), son of Georg Henrich Mühlschlägel and Catherine Loy, circa 1803. George was 18. Axsha's age is not known.² Axsha and George had 10 children but only the names of 8 children are known. These children are Rebecca, Barbara, John, Uriah, Elizabeth E., Mary Ann, Sarah and Axsha.²
          George was enumerated on the 1810 census for Hampshire County, Virginia as George Milslagle, a white male between 26 and 44. Based on ages, it is possible that Axsha was also living in the household aged a white female between 26 and 44.³ Follow the link to see the census image.
          George was enumerated on the 1820 census for Hampshire Co as George Milslagle, a male aged between 26 and 45. Based on ages, it is possible that Axsha was also living in the household aged over 45 years old.⁴ Follow the link to see the census image.
          George was enumerated on the 1830 census for Hampshire Co as George Milslagle, male aged between 40 and 50 years old. Based on ages, it is possible that Axsha was also living in the household aged between 50 and 59 years old.⁵ Follow the link to see the census image. Axsha died before 1840 in Hampshire Co.⁶
