     Rebecca Milslagle was born circa 1804.¹ She was the daughter of George Milslagel (Junior) and Axsha Cheshire.² She may have been enumerated on the 1810 census for Hampshire County, Virginia in the household of her father as a female aged from newborn to ten years old.³ Follow the link to see the census image. She may have been enumerated on the 1820 census for Hampshire Co in the household of her father as a female aged from ten to sixteen years old.⁴ Follow the link to see the census image. She remained single.⁵ She may have been enumerated on the 1830 census for Hampshire Co in the household of her father as a female aged twenty to thirty years old.⁶ Follow the link to see the census image.
          Rebecca, age 56, was enumerated on the 1860 Federal Census in North River Mills, Hampshire County, Virginia. Also enumerated in her household were three other people: Mrs. Mary Cooper, Lewis Hawkins, and Margaret Hawkins. Mary is the property owner and is listed as the head of house. She owns $4000 real estate and $955 personal estate. Lewis is a farmer but does not own land. Rebecca is a weaver. These four people seem unrelated but I suspect blood and marriage relationships between them.⁷ Follow the link to see the census image.
          She is the great-granddaughter of Johann Andreas Mühlschlägel, original immigrant.
