     Sarah Milslagle was born circa 1814 in Virginia.¹ She was the daughter of George Milslagel (Junior) and Axsha Cheshire.² Sarah also went by the name of Sallie.³ She may have been enumerated on the 1820 census for Hampshire County, Virginia in the household of her father as a female aged from newborn to ten years old.⁴ Follow the link to see the census image. She may have been enumerated on the 1830 census for Hampshire Co in the household of her father as a female aged fifteen to twenty years old.⁵ Follow the link to see the census image. She remained single.³ She may have been enumerated on the 1840 census for Hampshire Co in the household of her father as a female aged twenty to thirty years old.⁶ Follow the link to see the census image. Sarah, age 29, was enumerated in the household of Samuel Baker on the 1850 Federal Census in District #2, Hardy County, Virginia.⁷ Follow the link to see the census image.
          Sarah, age 46, was enumerated on the 1860 Federal Census in Baker's Run, Hardy County, Virginia. Also enumerated in this household was a laborer, Alfred Vannort, age 50. Her real estate was valued at $2500 and her personal estate was valued at $450.⁸ Follow the link to see the census image. Sarah worked as a farmer.⁸ Sarah, age 66, was enumerated in the household of her first cousin, once removed, Jacob Wimer, on the 1880 Federal Census in Lost River Magisterial District, Hardy County, West Virginia. Also in the house is Martha Milslagle who is Sarah's first cousin and Jacob's mother.⁹ Sarah worked as a post mistress.⁹ Follow the link to see the census image. Sarah died circa November 1904.³ She was about 90 years old.
          According to Garner, "she leaves her estate to Jacob Wimer to dispose as he saw fit and he is to pay her final doctor's bill and funeral costs. The concluding paragraph of her will which she had hand-written herself reads 'and I want to be buried up at the U.B. Church on Bakers Run and get me a tombstone like you got for Aunt Martha Wimer'. . ."³
          She is the great-granddaughter of Johann Andreas Mühlschlägel, original immigrant.
