     William Milslagle was born circa 1849 in Virginia.^1,2,3 He was the son of John Milslagle and Ann (?).¹ William, age 1, was enumerated in the household of his parents on the 1850 Federal Census in District #16, Frederick County, Virginia.⁴ Follow the link to see the census image. William, age 11, was enumerated in the household of his parents on the 1860 Federal Census in Piedmont, Hampshire County, Virginia. He attends school.⁵ Follow the link to see the census image. She was not enumerated in the household of her parents on the 1880 Federal Census at.⁶
          William married Anna F. (?).⁷ William and his wife had at least 4 children. These children are: Viola M., George W., Floyd H. and Ida M..
          William, age 32, and Anna, age 22, were enumerated on the 1880 Federal Census in Port Perry, Alleghany County, Pennsylvania. Also enumerated in this household were their daughters, Ida (age 2) and Viola (age 2 months).⁷ William worked as a laborer.⁷ Follow the link to see the census image.
          William died before 1910.⁸ He is the 2nd great-grandson of Johann Andreas Mühlschlägel, original immigrant.
