The Genealogy of the Millslagle Family

     Letha (?) was born in May 1862 in West Virginia.¹ Letha married John W. Milslagle, son of John Milslagle and Ann (?), circa 1880. He was about 19 and she was about 18.^2,3 Letha and John had five children but only three are living at the time of the 1900 census. These children are Roy R., Harry and Lillian.^2,4 Letha and John with their children moved from West Virginia to Waterport, Allegany County, Maryland sometime between 1888 and 1900. Waterport appears to be outside Cumberland which is on the West Virginia/Maryland border.⁴
          John, age 39, and Letha, age 38, were enumerated on the 1900 Federal Census in Waterport, Allegany County, Maryland. Also enumerated in this household were their children: Ray (age 18), Harry (age 15) and Lillian (age 12). They both can read and write. They rent their home.⁴ Follow the link to see the census image.
          Letha died sometime after 1900.⁵
