     Mary Ann Milslagle was born circa 1842 in Virginia.^1,2,3 She was the daughter of Uriah Milslagle and Maria Fertick.¹ Mary Ann, age 7, was enumerated in the household of her parents on the 1850 Federal Census in District #24, Hampshire County, Virginia. Mary Ann, age 17, was enumerated in the household of her parents on the 1860 Federal Census in Smith's Gap, Hampshire County, Virginia.⁵ Follow the link to see the census image.
          Mary Ann married Uriah Lease on 25 March 1868 at her father's house on Patterson Creek in Hampshire County, West Virginia.⁶ She was about 26 years old; his age is not known.
          She is the 2nd great-granddaughter of Johann Andreas Mühlschlägel, original immigrant.
