Margaret E. Milslagle was born circa 1844 in Virginia.^1,2,3 She was the daughter of Uriah Milslagle and Maria Fertick.¹ Margaret, age 5, was enumerated in the household of her parents on the 1850 Federal Census in District #24, Hampshire County, Virginia.⁴ Follow the link to see the census image. Margaret, age 15, was enumerated in the household of her parents on the 1860 Federal Census in Smith's Gap, Hampshire County, Virginia.⁵ Follow the link to see the census image. He was about 35 and she was about 21. The marriage was performed by Rev. Peter Miller.⁶
Margaret married Riley H. Crim on 7 September 1865 in Hampshire County, Virginia.⁶ She is the 2nd great-granddaughter of Johann Andreas Mühlschlägel, original immigrant.
